What is Swap?
iOffer Swap allows you to ’Swap‘ or ’Trade‘ items you have with other members items. If other members are willing to swap you will see a ’Swap‘ button on the item detail page located under the standard item actions (Make Offer, Ask Question, Buy Now).

How does the Swap process work?
The swap process is fairly straight forward, the steps to swapping are below:
- Make sure you have Items Listed
- Post more Want Ads so other swappers know what you want
- Find an item you are interested in swapping
- Click on the ’Swap‘ button to initiate a swap
- Fill out the Swap Invitation form (you can send comment to the other swapper)
- The other swapper will receive your invitation to swap and decide if they wish to swap with you
- You will receive messages via your iOffer inbox letting you know if the swapper selected items from your store to swap
How do I start Swapping?
The only requirement to start swapping is that you have items listed on iOffer. If you don't have any items listed the other swapper won't be able to select items from your store to swap with.
By posting more Want Ads you are letting other swappers know what type of items you are looking for. The more Want Ads you have posted and Items you have listed - the better chance you have of swapping with other users.
How much does it cost to swap?
For each swap transaction there will be a $1.00 flat fee associated for both swappers. Learn More
What is SwapBot?
SwapBot is an automated swapper matching system. SwapBot looks at what you have and want and matches it to other members Items and Want Ads.
To increase your chances of finding matches, list more Items and post more Want Ads.
Where can I manage my current & past Swaps?
You can manage all of your current and past swaps in My Swaps area in My iOffer.
What happens after we agree on swap terms?
When both swappers agree on the terms of the swap, the next step is to send out the item(s) and/or money that was agreed upon in the swap details. You can find the other swappers information (shipping address) on the swap detail page from your Past Swaps page.
Can we swap items and money?
Yes, on the swap offer page you will see an area to add or change the swap terms. This will allow you to add other items to your swap cart or other items to the other members swap cart as well as money.
You can decide if you are requesting the other swapper send you money or you are going to be sending money to the other swapper.
Can photos of swap items just be placed in my photo album on iOffer?
No, please do not trade items in this fashion as you will miss out on the many benefits of swapping in a formalized way:
- More exposure- we submit our items to all major search engines
- You will not be able to mark the item received on both sides
- Both parties will not be able to leave swap feedback
- Your ratings page will not show any swap history or feedback
- You will not have the option of trading items with money included
- You reach a bigger audience; items you list are searchable (photos are not)
- Find buyers - someone may be willing to purchase your item!
The best way to get started swapping is to list as many items as you have, you never know what someone may be willing to trade for!
What if there are issues with my swap?
Contact your swapping partner, leave a rating and post in the whole story. When swapping all iOffer policies are in effect. No contact information, offsite sales, or profanity is allowed on iOffer. Please ask plenty of questions when swapping, read the other swappers feedback in details and have a written understanding of your return policy.
Customer service cannot be used to mediate issues arising from swap issues. Post all arrangements on the whole story prior to completing the swap, and remember to have fun swapping!
Do I need to make a regular listing if I am swapping?
Yes all swaps or items need to be listed on iOffer. A swap is simply someone else deciding to swap their item listed on iOffer with your item listed on iOffer.
